Gas quick connect line
Does anyone know what size the quick connect gas lines are on the Cougar 5th wheels? I’m shopping for a hose for my Blackstone to hook to the trailer but I don’t have access to the rig at the moment. Thanks.

It's not unusual to have 2 different sizes of quick connect fittings. Often the one installed for a stove top will be 1/4" and one for a grill will be 3/8".. Ojly way to be certian is to look at it.

The female quick connection is different on my Montana High Country, I had a quick connection on my grill that was purchased for household set up, I think the RV connections are the same, (like air compressor connections) I changed out the female quick connection on my camper to match my grill hose

DO NOT use air hose quick couplings!
They must be gas fittings!
Go to your local LP distributor, they should have whatever you need & can make up hoses to whatever length you may need/want.

My money is on 1/4 inch. Been that size on two Cougar, including my present one, and a Grand Design.

I wasn't suggesting air hose, the quick couplings are different "LIKE" air hoses, the RV ones are different than the house gas grill ones, Jesus. That's why I said you need to find out what you have before you buy one

When I read your post I read it like you were referring to installing an air fitting. I can be read either way and when you call the gas line fitting you bought for "your household set up" it sets up the idea that could lead someone in that direction.
There are many folks that join this forum that are first time RV owners who have never even camped before. Some have never owned a LP gas grill and have no idea what is being referenced unless it's clear. I see your frustration but your post wasn't quoted so I don't see this as anything but adding clarity to the overall discussion.

That wasn't necessarily directed to you!
You did however reference air hose fittings, so just wanted to point out that they ARE NOT appropriate for LP fittings for all who may be reading this.
