Hood vent fuse ?

Our hood vent quit working. Breakers are fine, no other outlets or lights seem to be affected. I suspect there is an inline fuse somewhere? Anyone know?

Just drop the filter and look inside the motor is right there and it is 12V but I have never seen a inline fuse there. Check the fuse panel on the 12v side any fuse for it would be there.

I just went through this exercise. No fuse. The 12v fan motor has a thermistor which went bad. Lights work, fn didn't. Removed the thermsistor and all works fine.

I think you can get a replacement thermsistor at Radio Shack. Take the old one in and they should be able to help you.

I had the same issue. The wire fell out of the wire connector in the connection box in the underside of the stove hood.

Same issue here. Wire to fan motor is very thin, broke at connector.

Just remember the light and the fan are 12 volts, not 120 like your house.
