Oven not staying lit

I have an Atwood Wedgewood vision oven. When using it the tube that lights from the pilot will go would after so long. The pilot remains on though. Is there a thermostat in the oven that turns it on and off?

I've checked the gas line and my burners run just fine. Upon visual inspection there are no clogs. I've just never owned a gas oven and not sure if this is normal behavior.

I read about the vent and possibly cleaning that tube, but I do not know how to do either. Any help would defiantly be welcomed!

Not sure what you mean, but, the main burner will stay on until the set temperature is reached then the pilot stays on to relight the main burner when more heat is required. Is it possible that this is what is happening????? Hank

That's what I was thinking. Because if you leave the door open it turns back on.

Then that is normal and now you have to share the fresh baked cookies.
