cracked city water check valve
While getting the trailer checked out after winter. I put water into the fresh tank and ran the water pump. As I was walking around checking things I noted the water was being pumped out thru the city water inlet. I did some checking on here using the search mode and found there is a check valve in the city water inlet. Never thought there was one there. I had guessed there was one near the pump that failed. Mine is the type with fresh tank and city fill next to each other. So, instead of trying to get to the pump, which could be some work. I realized just undo 6 screws and pull the cover off the side. Took the valve out and got another one for under 15 bucks. Simple repair, maybe 30 minutes. It maybe be the same valve that is in the black tank flush. (That one I poured anti freeze into). Next winter I will pour some anti freeze into it to prevent freezing again. Hope if any have same issue they will not feel the need to have a dealer fix it.
