Auto level error message
Been on the road now for 12 days and the Lippert Auto Leveler has worked like a charm, until tonight. Pulled in, unhooked, turned on the control panel and immediately received a special jack code. "Error RR Jack". Nothing by we do clears the error and we are unable to manually extend the jacks. There appears to be nothing wrong with any of the 4 jacks. Any clues from anyone?

Stay hooked up to the truck. Using the override located at the bottom of each jack motor housing, extend each jack at least 6". Then turn on and when prompted, hold retract until all jacks start retracting. They should all fully retract and the system should be good to go. It's called re "homing" the jacks.

Auto level error message
I had the same thing withy RF (right front) jack. If you unplug it, you can run it up and down with a drill like a standard stabilizer jack. My problem turned out to be a bad main controller which has since been replaced under warranty. Be advised that you need to take it to an authorized KEYSTONE service center, NOT just and authorized Lippert service center. I took my to a Lippert service center that wasn't a Keystond service center and I got stuck with two hours of labor that I've got to try and get reimbursed by Keystone. Lippert works off standard labor charts per part and they only wanted to pay .5 hour of labor on a 4 hour total! [emoji52]. I got them to pay for the part plus 2 hours of labor, but I've got to pay the other 2 hours out of pocket and try to get reimbursed by Keystone.

No need to unplug the jack. We re-home jacks and have never unplugged a jack. If anything, check that both the motor wires and the Hall effect sensor wires are plugged in.

I think the fact that my controller was bad contributed to my issues. I could run the jack down intermittently but it wouldn't auto level, reverse or re-home so I had to unplug the motor and sensor from the jack to into order to reverse it with a drill.

Did you get the video Lippert supplies with every unit that has ground control 3.0 installed? Can't say I've ever seen them instruct a person to unplug to manually operate any jack, and I've watched/listened to that "Lippert University" DVD more times than I can count. I use it test the DVD player during a PDI instead of Despicable me2 when I see it in the owners packet.
Just sayin.....

Yeah, I didn't see anywhere in the DVD or the printed material where I would need to unplug the jack in order to operate it manually, BUT when I couldn't move the jack any other way I unplugged it and then I could move it freely with my drill. Mind you, at this point the jack was NOT responding to any attempts to "manually" re-home the jack from the panel.

Wow. I'll have to remember that, can't say I've run into a jack motor that was locked up.

Just for reference, this was on a 2017 Cougar Xlite 29BHS with Ground Control TT. Not sure how the Ground Control TT differs from Ground Control 3.0

Haven't had the pleasure of dealing with the GC TT. I understand there are a few different "features" and I'm sure I will be introduced to them soon enough.

Ours is the Ground Control for TT as we have a 2018 Cougar 33SAB. Never received a DVD when we purchased the trailer; maybe would have been helpful! Will try your suggestion chuckster57, but only once we are home today. The RF leg came down and we manually had to raise it, not sure what tool my husband used but it took about 20 mins to crank it back up. We were level enough for the night to put out the slides. Would like to get home before getting into a similar situation with one of the legs stuck in the down position. Is there a way to order the DVD?

The same information is probably available on the LCI website. The DVD's I've seen are for ground control on fifth wheels not TT's as we haven't gotten one at the dealership yet.

You can give Lippert Customer Service a call at 574-537-8900. If there is a DVD available for the travel trailer system, I'm sure they'd send you one if you explain that you never got it. For all of Lippert's reputation for bad welds, inferior products and lack of quality, they've come a long way with customer service. As they grow, they seem to be getting better along with getting bigger. That's something that doesn't happen often as companies grow. Give them a call, they'll tell you what's available and probably provide anything you were missing in your information pack.

Made it home and tried to locate the manual override on each jack; however there is no override on our TT jacks. Cannot lower the LF, all others go down and back up. Unfortunately LIppert is closed at 3:30 MT, so it'll have to wait until tomorrow.

I'm surprised there isn't a rubber plug you can remove to see the over ride bolt.

I also never received any kind of manual or DVD for the TT system. So far I have had no real problems with it. What do you mean "override bolt". Is it like the tongue jack that has the 3/4 hex head to use a manual crank on ? I will look a little closer at the jacks and do some more research at Lipperts site.

On the GC 3.0 there is a rubber plug at the top and bottom of the jacks. Using a drill motor and hex drive socket, you can manually operate the jacks. As I stated before, haven't had a TT version show up yet, so I can't say what they have but I would think Lippert would use the same components.

If it is the Ground Control TT look just to the right of the jack motor, there should be a rubber insert (black dot) that you can pull off. Once off you can insert a 3/8" pocket adapter and run the jack with a drill. Note that in my case I had to unplug the motor and sensor in order to operate the jack manually with a drill. Good luck!
I got my trailer back from the shop today. They had to replace my auto level main controller
