We try to keep our shoes off when going into our camper. An attempt to keep the floor cleaner, and dry when its raining outside.

What do you wear on your feet for going in and out of the camper? Looking for something easy to slip into, that will provide some protection from dirt/gravel campsites, and can stand up to getting a bit wet, especially in the morning when the grass is wet.

Crocs....or a cheap no-name version.

Easy to slip on or off. They are great for water, going to the beach. They tend to roll over when you drop them on the floor....so less bending down.

We roll out a 16 ft long patio rug like this:

Then, at the bottom of the steps, we place a heavy duty door mat:

Just inside the door we place a regular door mat:

We don't worry about what shoes we are or are not wearing. A couple of vigorous swipes on each rug with each foot and any dirt or moisture is minimal. We sweep out the trailer several times a day as a matter of course and that would not change even if we removed footwear before entering.

I have yet to try crocs, but agree that they should check off all the boxes for you. If I can find some in camo I might give them a try myself. Until then, we use a large area rug under our 19’ awning and slip off our shoes at the foot of the stairs and never wear shoes inside. At home I have an old pair of sneakers I just jam my feet into and crush the back down flat so they are sorta like slip-ons

I use a slip in tennis shoe, the brand I use are sketchers but there are many to choose from. The new slip ins of today are great, they have that cool back on em that eliminates the need to reach down and pull. Slide in, slide out, easy peasy. Love em.

I keep my next-newest slippers in the rig permanently, and wear them almost exclusively while in the CG. With zero tread, they don't track much. We also have a small runner right inside the entry door, and can leave them there if they're not dry and clean.

Birkenstock sandals, but I live in them spring thru fall. Or their version of sandals that we call Birken-crocs (foamy Birkenstock sandals)

Most likely I will be wearing my Ariats. Sometimes take a pair of Sketchers if we will be walking much. I wouldn't wear much of anything that lets fire ants take a bite. Inside the camper I have a pair of house slippers.

LOL. I wear Justins; from wake up to fall in the shower, house, field, store, out to eat, wedding....I wear my boots. Granddaughters asked once about it and DW told them I was born with them and I screwed them off at night to go to bed....and they believed that (little tykes). They learned better a little later on but it wasn't because they ever saw me without my boots.

Took my DGS to Branson for his high school graduation and took him out on a boat to go parasailing. The guy that owned the boat said to "put my boots under that table over there and come aboard with my socks or bare feet". I just looked at him and told him "I was born with these boots and they don't come off without a surgical procedure" and went aboard (I made absolutely sure they had nothing on them - I owned 2 boats and understood his concern). Slip offs, slip ons, flip flops etc; they don't do much for scorpions, snakes etc. and I don't have the patience to change shoes every time I change scenery.

We don't have anything special to wear on our feet. We just use our normal every-day shoes. Actually, we both have Sketchers. Love them.

I've removed every bit of carpeting from our camper. Tiled floors are much easier to sweep up. But, we still use this handy dandy machine when breaking camp. It also comes in real handy to keep the floor boards of the truck swept up too:

In 2002 my old Cougar was pretty normal in that carpet was the way to go I guess. Some lino in the bath area and right around the kitchen. Can't understand why any manufacturer would consider carpet a brilliant idea in a camper. We now have luxury vinyl tile through our camper except around the bed. Left the carpet there as the avacado color will never again be in style.

Crocs outside, slippers inside. I wear the Crocs kayaking and in the campground shower and most of the time outside. There's no leather or fabric on them that would absorb and retain dampness. They wash off and dry nicely.

Crocs, flip flops or something that can get wet. We also have a waterproof small tote to put boots or shoes in to keep dry.

We also have mat at entrance and a shoe tray to put shoes on if it is too wet, muddy or snowy outside to take shoes off before entering.

I live in Teva Sandals (Boat safe) from May to September .I have permanent lines on my feet from them (Don't have to worry about Fire Ants or Scorpions up here in Alaska, just the Alaska State bird the Mosquito) We lay out a rug under the awning and have a runner in front of the door. The dogs track in most of the dirt but we stay on top of it by sweeping and vaccuming, DW and have slides that we wear inside the camper

I swore I would never wear them. But now I have 2 pairs of crocs. I can't believe how comfortable they are. I work on customers RV's in them, even on the roof. Easy off once inside someone elses RV. I've worked on a couple of nasty RV's where I didn't take them off! In my own rig, it's crocs or flip-flops outside, barefoot inside. After 40 years of work boots, I try not to wear shoes at all anymore, even driving. Till winter comes of course.
