Record low temp in Houston

Record low in Houston this morning....84.
Yeah it's a record high low.
20% chance of rain next Tuesday.
The swamp behind the house has dried up.
Ranchers are losing cows...they are walking across the Trinity River.

Was 108F yesterday in the shade. We need to pray for rain. 20 percent chance of rain here next Tuesday/Wednesday.

It's 89 right now (11:07pm), seems kind of balmy.

It's kind of strange; puppy has multiple cancers and isn't doing well. Since it's been over 100 all these days she's asks to go out several times a day just to sit in the direct sun...104, 106, 108....she just basks...but not very long. About 5 minutes or so she starts rolling in the grass, makes a round at the edge of the walk, I wipe her down and she comes in. Never did that before. ??

Yes, prayers for rain.
Prayers for for the Saharan dust to continue for a little while longer. The Gulf of Mexico is very hot and the dust has been suppressing storm formation.

Not sure about in those temps, but when we are home and the AC is on, our dog likes to go out on the deck and lay in the sun fairly often.

Record high in Houston today…109. We had a few small showers around, nothing measurable.
Looks like a cool front next week.

We got about an inch of rain Tuesday when the tropical storm came through. Took this pic yesterday... thermometer is in the shade. Forecast for the rest of the summer: 103F with ZERO chance of rain. Need some more storms coming into the gulf...

Makes me glad I'm in the mountains of North Carolina right now. Had rain last night and this morning. Flood warnings on the television last night things still wet outside. It's a "sticky" 85 degrees right now. Humidity is the killer here, not the heat!
