Thank you to all.

Haven't posted in a while but have been checking in and reading various posts all along.
Due to my father's terminal illness last year, we had to cancel all our camping trips for 2023 until December. As we dealt with hospice and such, I found comfort in the distraction of this forum. Reading about camping issues, good and bad, provided a wonderful respite from my own situation. My Dad passed in late August and we did make our yearly bird hunting trip out west, but without our camper! It was still winterized from the previous year, so we just left it.

Happily, we found a new floor plan that we liked and downsized a bit in December. One quick shakedown trip and so far only had to recaulk the shower to stop a leak. FYI They had not caulked the joint of the sliding glass frame between bottom and side. Maybe a 1/8 crack between the pieces. All fine now!
Thanks again for being a blessing. Hopefully this year will offer several trips with our new camper.

We have a 2023 Cougar 23MLE and had to caulk our shower also. So far this camper has been the most trouble free one we have owned.

So this is three Cougar owners now that I know of who have had the same shower leak problem as us with their new unit. It's a trend I suppose.

Hope none of you have the same exterior wall problems that we have.

Makes you wonder if it is the same person forgetting to caulk the joint in the shower door frame. My previous 2020 cougar, bought new, did not have this problem.

Sorry to hear about your father.

We chose the 25mle also and are looking forward to the maiden voyage in April. I'll be checking the shower before we go for sure.

It took 2 tries to get the caulk right. I had to kind of push and smear it in with my finger.
Have another short trip next week. Hopefully won't discover any more issues. But that's part of the fun of a new camper.

Thanks to all for your condolences. My dad had a full life. The last couple months had no real quality of life. He was content with his next destination. It was time to move on for him.

That’s right. I hope to be able to fix all my issues myself. I don’t want to leave my home away from home at some dealership for weeks at a time.
