How to lube cable to tank valve

I have a 2019 keystone cougar RDS. Does anyone have a good way to lubricate the cable going to the black tank valve. I’m having trouble getting my valve to close completely.

My 1st recommendation would be take down the basement partition down & trace out the cable, if it has a bunch of twist & turns loosen the nut at the handle & reroute it in as straight a shot as possible. Mine has a couple figure 8s in it causing it to pull sideways on the valve, straightened it & worked much better.

If you think it's the cable itself that needs lubing, you could try out this kit [LINK] or another like it. It comes with a tool/fitting that directs the lube down the sheath.
