27RES TV Connections

I have attached two pics, one showing location of compartment next to left rear tail light, second shows a panel lying loose in compartment with labelled tv connections. One shows connect for aerial. Is it necessary to change the cable connect every time you want to use the antenna? The other connects are for TV 1, 2 and 3. There is also a blue light glowing. Is that the tv antenna booster? Does it stay on or is there a switch. This is very different from previous rv's I have owned. I hope my attached pics accompany this message.

Interesting, I’ve never actually seen it opened up. That should be the key tv. It’s designed to reduce the number of splinters and amount of coax run in the rv. You don’t have to do anything with it. I can’t remember if there is an additional booster switch inside the rv or not. I didn’t think there was, but if there is, it’s typically behind the bedroom tv (not always, but a lot of the time).

That is KeyTV module. Normally you don’t need to do anything on the back, just attach the coax to the front and it will automatically detect the signal. Your roof antenna is already attached so you don’t need to move it.

As long as the blue light is on, your module should be operating as designed, there isn’t a booster button anywhere else.

But you notice I dont have any coax going into the antenna connect. So how would the tv work if I wanted it to pick up the antenna.

I believe the loose coax that is just sitting there is supposed to be connected to the ant connection. Someone was out to lunch when that part was done.
