Furnace won’t even turn on blower

I have nothing happening for heat. I’ve had the trailer 6 months 2007 keystone Sundance 2500. It has aduotherm controller. The fuse is good, fuel is on and full, breaker for a/c is good. I don’t get so much as a click. Any advice, I can use a multi tester well.

Do you have 12vdc to the anything else like the lights? Range hood fan, bathroom fan work? The furnace runs off of 12v dc so sounds like you have no power from the battery.

I haven’t heard of that brand. What brand of thermostat and furnace do you have?

It’s a duotherm controller with a suburban furnace

Duo therm is a Dometic product, are you sure it’s a Suburban furnace?

The controller I have the pic say duotherm on it. The Manuel’s that came with the 5er have suburban on the title page for the furnace.

Ok. Do you know how to use a multi meter? The furnace will get its signal from the thermostat, via the control box in the AC. Your looking for 12VDC not 110VAC.

I have one and can use it

So I should see 12v dc on the controller with the temp up, on heater and auto for the fan. At the white wire marked furnace

Ok. I don’t remember if that thermostat has a fuse. The furnace should have 4 wires: 12V pos, 12V neg and 2 blue wires. The 12V for the furnace is usually from the distribution panel. The 12V signal (blue wires) usually comes from the control box in the AC return.

You can jumper the two blues at the furnace to rule out the furnace, then just work your backwards.

Thanks, I’ll start at the furnace jumper wires and should see at least the blower come on. If not I’ll look for a fuse on the controller. I’m all over that like stickers on nascar thought I added a pic of the 5er for fun

Make sure you have 12V at the furnace first. Then jumper the 2 blue wires, it should start and light. Let it light and run for a minute then disconnect the blue wires and let it run in cool down mode.

Thanks for the troubleshooting tips. I was needing to check something on my furnace. Glad to know about jumping the two blue wires together to start/run the furnace. Which of the two blue wires should the white wire be connected?

Sorry to disappear for a few days I still have that pesky job thing. So today I finally get to work on the 5er. I get the exterior heater panel off and the interior panel off. I find the 2 blue and the 2 power wires. I notice the blue have small signal wire attached. I go to the control panel touch the ground lug and the heater starts! What is up with that? Then the igniter lights the propane and heat starts gushing out! I thought the air would come out all vents but not so. I’m waiting for it to cycle and see if it comes back on after it cools off. Things are lookin up!
