Car hubcaps on tt wheels?

I have white 15" steel wheels on my Passport. Thinking of spicing it up with vintage ('70s) GM luxury-car hubcaps - apart from the possibly questionable style choice, is there any reason automotive hubcaps won't work?

Thanks in advance for any tips - I am having a great time picking out fun stuff and bolting it on. Why not.

Used to do that on all my old trailers, back in the 70's and 80's. Back then all trailers came with steel wheels and those full hub caps certainly dressed things up.
