Hi all,
I’m new here, but not to RVing. My wife and I recently ordered a Cougar Half-ton 26RBS, but won’t take delivery until this fall. We decided to go with the dual pane frameless windows (gets pretty cold here), 12v fridge, and theater seating. Couldn’t find any with those options in dealer stock so had to custom order.
We’ll be towing with a 2018 F150. And, before the “weight police” come out to tell me it’s not adequate, yes I know this trailer will be at the top of our limits. But, to hopefully make everyone feel better I’ll tell you that I have a hitch scale, and live near a CAT scale. We’ll be doing plenty of weighing to dial everything in, and I think we’ll be able to do it. That said, if we can’t make it work, or we just don’t like the setup, I’ll now have a good excuse to pick up that Super Duty the wife hasn’t wanted me to buy (can’t stop camping!
).
We’ve been RVing for almost 10 years with a smaller/lighter rig (~26’ and 6Klbs). I modded that one about as much as I reasonably could and looking forward to doing some mods on the new one.
Look forward to interacting with you all.
Tim
