new member--Hi from NJ

I started camping in a tent enough years ago we won't mention it here! Graduated to a slide in for the old Ford 150=straight 6, then onto a Bantum TT 19' pulled by a Toyota tundra v6, and now my "retirement pkg" is a 2011 Cougar XLite 5th wheel, 26SAB, pulled by a juiced up Ford F150 v8, 5.4 (2x2) Loving every minute, but still working on the "bugs". I'm going thru the posts like crazy. Thanks for all your questions and answers!!!

Welcome have fun an enjoy. Cougars are nice trailers with good layouts. It is the only trailer we found that had all the items on our list for our 2 nd trailer. I have bought used for second time since I am handy an did good at keeping my last one in good shape. Congrats on ur trailer an joining the forum. Enjoy.

Question I do feel welcome

You all are great, very happy I joined!! And I am still wading thru the threads.
Can I ask what may be a silly question? I don't see anyone with this problem. The screws that hold the outer surface under the nose of the 5er have all shirred off. Broken and I don't have enough of the old screw exposed to remove. The surface is now sagging & I want to make sure to fix properly, and don't want this more exposed to the elements. Any ideas?

Mistymt -
Try posting this question in the Repairs and Maintenance section of the forum. You will probably get a better response there as this section is intended for introducing and welcoming new members.
Thanks and glad you joined our group. There are, BTW, no silly questions on here.

Mistymt,
Use a small drill bit and drill a hole into the bolt ,Then tap in a small (Easy-Out) to back out the bolt. Hope this helps.

Thumbs up Thanks!

Thanks "all"----will get those screws replaced----but reading on, I did see the recall blog--yay this forum!! I'm going to have my dealer check for any torque that may have occurred. Better now than later. Hoping this is an easy fix!
