There's 3 groups of rv owners,
#1 is like a good many on this forum, been rving for lots of years with lots of experience willing to share.
#2 Newbies that are overwhelmed by all the glitz & glamor & don't have a single clue about towing or any other part of the rv lifestyle
#3 Then there's those like my DWs BIL, he's owned a rv for 16 minutes & knows everything about everything there is to know about rving, although most of its absolutely wrong.
Groups 1&2 are typically what's on these forums, they ask.others help. But then occasionally there's that one in group 3 that guarantees you can haul that 42' TH with your F150 if you swap tires & add airbags, they can't be helped by anyone.

Yes I had a 2014 Ford F150 Ecoboost Max Tow / Payload Package....and yes I added a lot of aftermarket tow goodies to enhance the towing experience.
I towed my 2018 Keystone 328RL / 38'er with my half ton for 8yrs.
My truck was at its manufacturers max tow range, in doing so I covered a lot of trouble free miles.
That being said I have a 2021 F250 6.7L now....and it's a totally different experience. The diesel just does everything better and gets better fuel mileage do it.
I'm a believer....

My bad....towed Outback for 4yrs with the F150. Towed the 33' Springdale with the Titan for 4yrs

I've see them daily on the highway, but if they're happy & don't involve me/mine in the accident they can do as they want!

But not always being available was a very significant thought that gave me pause. If I could have retired even earlier, I would have already jumped on the opportunity.

These are all good comments, and some funny ones ! I think if I was a RV salesman I guess my first question to a potential buyer would be "Are you mechanically inclined, or do you have lots of money and time". Then I would have to tell them you have to be either one of these type of people to own a RV. They always need repair, and if you can't do it yourself then you better have the time and money to take it to a dealer....
I doubt I would last long

That’s what YouTube and forums like this are for. There’s a lot of people who know nothing about an RV, couldn’t change the oil in their car, but with some help and guidance, they figure it out. Of course, there’s a lot of RVs out there that are falling apart and junk because people don’t properly maintain them.

I’ll admit, one of the reasons I still have a 10 year old 5th wheel is because it hasn’t given me any problems and I don’t want to have to start working on a new one. Some of the stuff I see with new ones just makes me shake my head.
