New RVer
Hello from CO!
The RV:
New owner of a 2021 Keystone Premier 34bi. Had a 3rd party RV inspector (we are now friends) help iron out all problems before purchase. Everything works wonderfully.
7398# dry wt
9198# wet
The TV:
2002 F250 SC XLT SRW V10 with 100k miles
8800#s GVWR
6600#s on CAT
2 passengers 340#s at most, will mostly be 1 passenger @170
3.73 gears, looking into potentially swapping out for 4.30 so easier time on mtns
Also considering a 38 gallon transfer flow tank so I can go longer distances
New/upgraded shocks/struts, & tie rods
Getting WDH
Won't be towing year round and will only be towing a few times per year. Looking forward to asking questions and becoming familiar on the forums!

Hello and welcome the forum!
Good you had a third party RV inspector look the unit over for you, with the added bonus of making a new friend!
There are many quite knowledgeable folks here who are more that happy to answer any questions.
Travel safe with that Premier!

Welcome NP! After my Mom passed away quite a few years ago, my sister (RN) and hubby bought a Class A with a cargo trailer (Mini Cooper & 2 Harleys) and she did traveling nurse for awhile. She like it until she hit Wine Country in N. Cali and then found a full time and sold the RV / trailer and bought a condo.
I think her diesel pusher would have made me claustrophobic and your bumper pull will be a lot more comfy. Looks like a great floor plan. I would be concerned by the F250 V10. That engine, while used in lower end Class A campers up till a year or two ago was never considered the greatest as far as power. Given your limited number of trips, the lower rear end might be a good idea. My sister and BIL currently have a Class C with the 7.3L gas engine and find it much more suitable than the V10. Hopefully you won't be in the mountains often. Good luck! (BTW: Sis now fully retired)

From Utah!
Lots of fun times ahead. I'm sure you will enjoy your new trailer, so much to see and do.

provided. Those Ford V10 engines were/ are thirsty buggers. My one BIL has it in his Excursion and tows a heavy older 30' Jayco (wood frame walls, aluminum siding) and he suffers, I mean gets 6 to 8 mpg. I've known several folks with class C MHs that report similar milage with the Triton V10.

Properly tuned on high octane fuel with a good tail wind he probably gets 8.5 mph not towing!
They'll pass everything on the highway but a gas station!!!

Thanks! And love hearing other travel nurse/NP stories. I'll look thru the forums to see if theres any other v10 posts already. If not I'll make a separate post to avoid double posting.

Oh ya! They're real gas hogs for sure. Another reason why I may opt for a transfer flow tank haha

My old 96 F250 had a 460 gas engine and it was worse than the Triton V10. Lucky to have two 18 gallon tanks under me. I could make it out of the county before I had to fill up!
