Television issue repaired

My OTA television has always worked properly on living room and bedroom TV. However cable or satellite would only work in bedroom. Yes, power booster switch was off. I returned to dealer, under warranty, and they determined the cable was bad somewhere in the ceiling. I wouldn't let them rip open the ceiling so so they installed a dedicated cable inlet in the living area. This worked great in the LR but no cable in the BR. I later reasoned that if the ceiling cable worked fine on OTA then it should work with cable. I finally determined the issue must be in the power booster switch. When engaged it supplies power to the antenna booster (but blocks cable signal.) When disengaged it is supposed to let cable signal pass through to the LR. So I replaced the power booster switch (Amazon) and problem resolved! There is nothing wrong with the cable in the ceiling.

Good job with the booster, had to change one out in the last trailer when it just quit working.

Are you at Liberty Hill for the holiday?
