Kitchen Faucet
Wife wants a new kitchen faucet the for our cougar. The kind with a pullout sprayer. Can I go to one of the box stores and buy a new faucet or are faucets that are in rvs specific to rvs. And quite honestly I would like to put a different one on the sink in the outside kitchen.

Should be standard spacing. Only difference may be the fittings underneath for the supply lines. And yes the outside sink would be the same spacing too.

I replaced my kitchen faucet with a Glacier Bay pull down sprayer faucet from Home Depot. As Chuck suggested I just had to buy adapters to go from the trailer plumbing to the faucet hot and cold lines. I think they were 1/2" male to 3/8" male, but don't quote me on that.

We replaced the factory faucet in our Cougar with a standard faucet from Menards. Spacing was identical. Quick and easy mod and it greatly improved the water flow through the faucet.

My 2019 Cougar came with a kitchen faucet with a pullout sprayer. Maybe talk to your parts dealer first.

Ours came with the pull out as well. One word of caution is that the sprayer head hose that loops down below has a big weight on it so that it retracts back into the faucet neck. I had to modify under our cabinet because when it retracted, the weight would drop into one of the drawers below, then if you opened the drawer, it would drop down behind the drawer and prevent drawer from closing. Not saying you would have same issue, but there has to be clear space under the faucet

This may explain the unusually short kitchen drawers in my Cougar, that won't even accommodate a common cutlery organizer tray, or several of the DW's cooking knives.

I'm guessing but you probably already have the connection for the sprayer on your existing faucet and it's LOTS cheaper to buy a sprayer and hose than a new faucet.

Yes you can use a household faucet. Only difference is RV has flow restrictor. When I replaced ours added 2 shut offs NEVER KNOW !!! That way if there is a problem you can still use the rest of the water system.I also added a shut off to the toilet. Last trailer valve went and had to shut off water at hookup. Real pain at night with kids.

Just replaced mine and as stated you might have to get the adaptors, 1/2 to 3/8ths male is correct. I hope you are agile enough to stand on your head and twist yourself under the sink.

We are talking about the “new” style retractable sprayer head that pulls out of the actual faucet neck, not the regular old sprayer nozzle separate from the faucet that we grew up with.

Not always about the cost! It is what works best, and DW likes, I have replaced both faucet and sink.

I just had a chance to look at my kitchen and outside sink faucets. I would say they are definitely not the same. The outside sink is 4 inches center to center on the handles and the kitchen sink is 8 inches center to center. I was thinking I could put the kitchen faucet in the outside sink and just by a new one for the kitchen sink but I would say the different spacing will not allow me to do that

Not always true. Most 8 inch faucets have three singe holes and no cover from the center to the knob. You could use them close together without the cover. Hope that makes sense.

We just put in a new kitchen faucet in our 2012 Keystone Montana. I ordered it from Home Depot. Getting the old one out was very difficult because there is not enough space to get a regular wrench in there. We had to use a special faucet wrench. Worked out just fine.

Replaced sink and faucet no problem
We replaced the sink, and faucet in our 2018 Premier 29RKPK with house type metal faucet, and put in a stainless steel sink in the bathroom with no problems. Did not need any adapters or anything. The sink came from the big A for $43, and the faucet from HD.

We replaced our kitchen faucet with a regular pullout Moen sprayer from Amazon and had no issues. All of our plumbing in our 2015 Outback is 1/2" Pex. Like other mentioned, I too added local shutoff valves like in your house but I used 1/2" "SharkBite" Pex fittings. While this is just a Brand, they work great and really do not need any special tools (although I bought the Pex cutter and deburrer tool). I have not had any issues with my install!
