Electrical meter

Hi guys/gals I'm wondering if anyone has a meter on their trailers?
I'm looking to put one on mine as I'm curious as to how much power will be used this yr. Any help or links would be great

Might be just a tad helpful to know what kind of meter you're looking at and what what you plan to measure.

I'm just looking for a simple 110 meter that goes inbetween the trailer and the breaker box so I can get a monthly average of how much power is being used

I'm assuming your rig has a 30 amp electric system. If that is true, you can order a meter, just like you would have on your house, only it would be for 120 volts instead of 240 volts like on most homes. Then you will need a meter base, essentially a socket that the meter plugs in to, and then have it installed in your rig, or you could set it up with pigtails, one in and the other out that could be plugged into your shore cable between the pedestal and your rig.

Actually, that meter will not work on a 120 volt service. It requires 240 volts with two hot legs, where the 30 amp service will only have one hot leg. If he wants to go with this style of meter, then this is the correct one for his application: http://www.ekmmetering.com/120-volt-...ekm-15ids.html
