Announcement - please read
There has been a recent change in the community rules. This is the new "signature standard". Please notice that a signature is now "required to be completed" by all members and displayed in each post.
Also, while we're at it, please take note of how you display your trailer brand/model (both helps others identify your trailer). While Keystone doesn't duplicate model numbers in current years, there have been/are a number of model numbers that were in one brand and later that same model number has been used in another brand. So, please take a look at your profile to make sure you have the RV year, brand and model number displayed. It'll help other members know what you are asking questions about.
Here's the new standard as posted in the community rules:
Signature Standards
Signatures must be setup in your profile rather than manually added to your messages. They will appear at the bottom of every post you make.
Signatures may not include email addresses, links to competing websites, prompts to contact or a sales pitch.
Signatures must follow our forums posting standards and only one line may be bolded.
To create a signature go to the User CP tab in the upper left corner of the page. Click it then find the tab on the left that says "edit signature". Click that then fill in the box with the pertinent information requested then save.
Daily many questions are asked that are specific to a member's RV/TV etc. but they don't provide adequate information to give an informed response which leads to repeated efforts to acquire the needed info. The information benefits everyone.

Perhaps it would be helpful to cross post in new member check in forum?

Might be a great idea to give instructions on how to create a signature. Many new members may not know about the signature option.

Is there a way to make my signature, and that of others, show in the mobile interface? Or is it visible only in the full web browser view?
Thanks
Mike

If your using an iPhone with Safari, when you log in scroll to the bottom of the page and choose view full website. Your signature will show when you post.

Why are we still having to play 20 questions with all the new people posting to the various threads on the forum? Even when they are asked for info on their rig, many just ignore the requests. When responding, trying to help resolve their problems, it is very frustrating never getting enough information when having the signature with the info would stop all this. I guess there is no way to enforce this 'requirement'.

There is NO requirement for a signature!
This was cleared up before.

Signatures are NOT mandatory. We could change the wording if there is confusion here:
Signature Standards- Signatures must be setup in your profile rather than manually added to your messages. They will appear at the bottom of every post you make.
- Signatures may not include email addresses, links to competing websites, prompts to contact or a sales pitch.
- Signatures must follow our forums posting standards and only one line may be bolded.
The word "must appears to be the problem...
The intent of these rules was to prevent folks for manually adding long sigs to each post AND to make clear what was acceptable in a signature (No ads in sigs, no urls and no sales)
If someone doesn't want to add a signature that's fine - it's a personal choice. It's also worth noting that it's almost impossible to add a signature via the mobile app and this is a barrier for some folks.
If you want to add a signature, that's terrific. Here's the direct link to set up your sig: https://www.keystoneforums.com/forum...=editsignature

Of course, it would make it much easier to help users if they had one, or at least put all the needed info in their post for help.
But you will never get everyone to do that.
