Bugg Banner
Curious if anyone has any experience using the “Bugg Banner”:
https://buggbanner.com/
The idea is sound and not having a plethora of bugs on the front cap after travel would be ideal, plus some protection from the sun while in storage also sounds like a good idea.
Anybody have one? Do they work well/hold up?
Thx.

A similar product has been in use on motorhomes for years/decades. It's called something like "Bug Bra". They do "keep bugs off the front" of the vehicle, but at what cost?
I've not seen a motorhome that has had one installed (for any lengthy time) that doesn't have paint damage to the area. Just like a RV storage cover, any movement of the cover where it contacts the RV has a potential to damage the surface of the RV. I do know one "motorhomer" in south Louisiana who uses a shield called "Coach Mask" during "love bug season". If he goes anywhere when love bugs are a problem, he installs the cover. Any other time, it's folded away in a storage compartment. You can see the scratches around his headlights and the corners of the front cap.
My Cougar has been in love bugs, deer fly swarms, towed through clouds of "no-see-ums". I keep the front clean, waxed and it's "going on 9 years old" and the front cap looks "as good as new". I've never had a "bug shield for towing" and don't have any paint damage or bug damage.

IMHO! Bugs & dirt will wash/wax off, chaffing & scratches from the cover, whether on the front or the entire rv, won't. Not to mention the PITA of install/removal.

I have used it for a year. I have no chafing or scratches on my cap. It is easy to put up and take down for one person; about two minutes. It stays on just like advertised. I towed about 8000 miles this past year and my front cap has no bugs on it. The bottom 20% of the cap is not covered by the banner. Initially I as worried about bugs hitting that part, but they don't. And even if they do, that part is easy to reach.
Cleaning the front cap was one of my least favorite jobs. I love the bug banner. Install is easy after you get past the part of driving screws into your front cap; took me awhile to finally do it.

I use Bug Slide it removes bugs easily and with each application it creates a shield that makes cleaning em off even easier and puts a nice shine on the front cap.

No proof of this, but I think it also helps prevent rock chips.

Gator, Corvette owners learned generations go that the bras for the front caused more damage than they prevent. Use it if you like. Your business!

Not just 'Vett owners. I remember when just about all the cars from "down south" sported the bras. On a trip to FL back in the 70's I tried one. Checked on it about 300 miles into the trip and it ended up in the trash can at a rest stop. Luckily I caught it where I was able to buff out the damage. I think a lot of body shops made money from that back then.
Personally I've never had an issue removing bugs and horse dung (A road hazzard when traveling thru Omish country in PA) with a good coat of wax. Stubborn bugs come off easily with a little Reliable Spray Cleaner. That cleaner works great on black streaks as well but it will remove wax.
