New here, I’m picking up a used 2020 Outback 328rl tomorrow. I’m now getting cold feet because I googled reviews….. needless to say now I’m concerned. I want your guys opinion. Also what’s a good warranty to buy?

Welcome to the forum.

First, in response to your concerns, you SHOULD be concerned. You're about to take on a significant debt, one that will probably "influence your financial situation" for years to come.... You should proceed with caution (not fear, but caution) and do all that you can to make certain that your purchase meets your expectations...

There have always been "issues" with any RV purchase. Some people proceed with caution, make sure the RV meets their expectations, hold the seller responsible to "fix or commit to repair" the RV issues they find on inspection BEFORE they accept the RV and sign the paperwork. Other buyers "simply sign on the dotted line" and some are lucky, many are not... Those are the buyers who most often get "burned in the sale"....

There will always be a possibility of hidden defects, but most often the complaints we hear on this forum are "fairly obvious issues that a reasonable inspection would have identified".... In other words, if you proceed with caution, inspect the RV thoroughly before buying it, have a dealership that's committed to helping you through the warranty process if there's an issue and if you are reasonably "handy to fix small issues" then buying an RV becomes "less traumatic"....

Here's one "Pre Delivery Inspection (PDI)" that you can use to help you "thoroughly inspect your new RV" before you buy it. https://www.angelfire.com/trek/buena...PDI_V113_2.pdf

Good Luck with your purchase... I'd urge you to proceed with caution, but not with fear....

As for an extended warranty, don't let the dealer pressure you into buying one at the time of purchase. Your new rv will have 1 year of warranty through the dealer/manufacturer, most of the appliances will have 2 year coverage with their manufacturer. If you're somewhat handy then you're better off putting that $$ money into an account for repairs rather than to a company that typically has more exclusions than inclusions. There are 2 that benefit from extended warranties, the rv dealer selling it & the company that carries the warranty. If you feel you want/need a warranty wait the year to buy one that you are happy with not the one the dealer makes tons of $$ on, you'll know by then if you need one.
Reading most any type of forum will be depressing as the few that have issues & complaints will always be posting, the hundreds that are perfectly happy are out camping not typing on the forums.
As John stated DO NOT sign anything til the unit is as you want/expect it to be, after you've signed off you're just another RV owner with problems, get in line.

It’s used so they are telling me there isn’t a warranty of any kind. I’ll double check before I sign anything

Used is a whole nuther thing!
If you find something that's wrong make them fix it before signing, if they're a decent dealer they'll do some of that or should.
The biggest thing with used is water leaks from roof or elsewhere. Check roof & all interior walls for water damages, dark spots, mold or delamination & floor for soft spots, if found walk away.

Keep in mind that there are TWO distinct and different warranties on newer model Keystone trailers. One is the "one year inclusive warranty" and the other is the "three year structural warranty"... BOTH are transferrable to the new owner. This is the statement from the 3 year structural warranty:

Transferability: This Limited Structural Warranty may be transferred by the first retail purchaser to a subsequent retail
purchaser; however, the Limited Structural Warranty will in no way be extended beyond the three (3) year coverage
period. For the second retail purchaser to receive the unexpired balance of the structural warranty coverage as described
above, after purchasing the RV you must go to our website at www.keystonerv.com and provide Keystone your VIN,
name, address, phone, and email address (proof of purchase may be requested). You may also notify Keystone of the
transfer by phone at (866) 425-4369 or by email at [email protected].

The structural warranty is extremely important and you should request the dealer (if he is a Keystone authorized dealer) to transfer it for you. If he is not a Keystone dealer, then you need to follow the instructions and transfer it yourself. In either case, you need to follow up with Keystone within the first 30 days to make certain the manufacturer has processed the transfer of warranty to record your ownership....

DO NOT FAIL TO TRANSFER THE WARRANTY....

If there is no 2020 Keystone Owner's Manual in the trailer, you can download it here: https://keystone-rv-dealer-app.cdn.p...al_revised.pdf

I think every one of us get cold feet right before we take delivery of our new "toy". They are big, daunting, and sometimes just plain right scary. Thinking of the financial obligation is worse than Fright Night on Halloween. (kind of like getting married, hum)..

One year later, they are familiar territory. They are actually too small, old hat, and just too simple now that you know how everything works and functions. The financial obligation is well adjusted, and you wonder why you had so much hyper-tension over the though of buying it in the first place.

Like marriage a year later, you crawl in bed at night, wrap yourself up nice and warm and cozy and say ... I love you!

Life is great! And you'll love that camper!
