2nd AC install questions

We had a 2nd AC installed. When we dropped it off, we requested it to be ducted. When we picked it up, it was non-ducted.
They did not inform us, we found out when they showed us how to operate the unit.
Apparently there are no ducts to run the 2nd one into?
What are our options at this point?
Can they modify the camper?
The duct outlet from the front AC is located about 12" away from the 2nd AC. Can they create a tunnel and tie in?
It was pre-wired for 2nd, but not for a 2nd thermostat? Is there a remote control thermostat that doesn't need wiring?
How complicated is this to get done?

We have a 2018 28SGS Keystone Cougar

If it was prewired for a second AC I would think it was ducted for it also. Easiest way is to remove the ceiling assembly and look. Most often the ducting is covered with aluminum tape and you just have to remove the tape.

It sounds like your dealer went the cheapest route and didn’t bother trying to meet your request. As far as the controls, depending on brand of AC you can get Bluetooth ceiling controls.

According to page 10 in the 2018 Cougar Eastern brochure, every half ton fifth wheel is equipped with the "Race Track Duct System".

The system is shown in a diagram on page 6 in the same brochure and clearly shows how "Cougar beats the competition" with their "inferior separate systems"...

I'd first do as Chuck suggested and pull the front A/C ceiling unit to verify the presence of ducting runs on both sides of the air conditioner. If you do find the ducting runs (and I'm sure you will) then IMO, it's time to have a "sit down, heart to heart" with the dealership general manager with the service manager as a "silent observer"....

Here's the link to the brochure on the Keystone RV website: https://keystone-rv-dealer-app.cdn.p...chure-2018.pdf

Thanks for all the help.
Apparently we have the 2018 1/2 ton light 5th wheel. It has the white front cap, and has been build in the beginning of the year & doesn't have the racetrack ducting.
There is a metal stud in the way, we also have only 1 vent in the bedroom ceiling. The racetrack system would have 2.
Can't have everything
