Outback 221 umd

Hello all, just purchased a 2021 Outback Ultra Lite and was wondering if it has a water filter? Looked for it but can't find one.

If you use this type filter and camp "irregularly", either store the filter in a zip lock bag in the refrigerator at home or better yet, "shake it dry", put it in a zip lock bag and keep it in the freezer while the trailer is in storage. It doesn't take much for "green goopy stuff" to start growing in a closed up hot, wet filter element.

I have never had one of those Camco filters not leak/dribble in use. Go to the hardware and buy a whole hose filter that uses universal cartridges and set it in a cement block hole or similar. Camco is the Chinese word for junk I think. Perhaps they do make some product that isn't but I haven't found it.

I have had good luck using these for years. I don't have problems with leaks and or dribbles. I also don't have to carry around a cement block.

Make sure you have good washers on both ends and enjoy.

BTW, they are made in the USA.
Did you ever actually look at the product or ar you just spreading rumors?

I have a BUNCH of Camco blue inline filters and was foolish enough to buy two of their cannister filters you set in a stand. They leak and do NOT use standard filter cartridges but use proprietary cartridges.

I, too, use the Camco filters and don’t have any problems with leakage. I carry enough weight without adding a cement block to the mix.

Your rv did not come withs water filter or strainer. My 250URS didn’t either. Easy to add one to the outside.
