New member and trailer

Well I literally put the cart before the horse.
The “Cart”
I take delivery of a 2021 Fuzion 419 on 11/18.
The “horse”
I ordered a 2022 Chevrolet 3500HD DRW Duramax High Country with all the bells and whistles on 09/28. Still waiting to hear about allocation. 😒
Fuzion will be resting comfortably in barn until truck arrives. At least I’ll have lots of time to ask questions and research!

Brian, In case you were oblivious, he called new camper the "cart" and the Chevy (the horse) as a pun... cart before the horse!

Welcome Skillet173: Take a sec and build yourself a signature with year, make and model of camper and same for the Chevy. Will help add context to the answers to the questions you will be asking. Sounds like you are set!

You didn't pick up on the purchase of the Chevy? (best keep this my last sarcastic comment in this thread).

Thanks!
I had an 08 KZ Sportman Sportster tt prior and still have the lifted 14 2500 Dmax CC LTZ until new truck appears. Hoping the Fuzion is as good to us as the KZ was. Don’t have a 5w hitch on truck and wouldn’t think of towing this beast of a trailer with it anyway.
Thought I had signature completed. Will have to work on that.

For now, you guys just argue amongst yourselves.

Howdy and welcome to the forum!

Congrats on the new Fusion, and the choice of a fine tow vehicle!

Take care!

Getting close. Rafters all moved up 7”, door moved up 7”, new opener installed, 50a RV plug installed and wired, floor swept. Assuming the PDI goes well the “cart” will be delivered Wednesday.
The horse? Well, let’s hope it’s at least a “glimmer in it’s mother’s eye” by now...

Congratulations on being one of the few who did it in (almost) the right order!

The ideal right order is:

1) Choose the trailer
2) Join the forum and get beat up about how much truck you will need to buy
3) Buy the right truck!

We did the same thing! Ordered a '22 Limited Long Horn Ram 3500 on Veterans Day, and bought our '19 Fuzion 424 on the 22nd. Our trailer will be sitting on the friends property until just before my retirement when we will move it to a spot on base while we wait for the truck to be delivered.

Truck market is insane this year!

Finally the horse has arrived! The truck I ordered 09/28/21 still has no TPW. I started to get concerned reading the duramax forums about GM and building/shipping HD trucks. Found one “in transit” to a different dealer and snatched it before it arrived. Already bought and installed a B&W 25k hitch and am trying to decide on tonneau. Still have time, got 15” of snow last night so everything is staying in barn!

For us very used Ford owners, what is a TPW? Are you saying you found a Chevy Truck tow vehicle that was to be delivered elsewhere and bought it instead of the one ordered?

TPW = Targeted Production Week. My new 3500 SRW was produced last week. Today I got a ETA from GM to the dealer of 03/06/22. My order was accepted and I was given a order number on 11/20/20.
