Tank fill connector leaks

Hi, does anyone know where a person can get the tank fill fitting in Canada? Ours leaks and one from Keystone is $79.95 plus $50 shipping 😳

Amazon "rv fresh water fill connection" brought up lots of them. Get in brass rather than plastic.

If you're looking for the entire assembly, the city water connection, valve and plumbing behind the wall, $79 is not a bad price. Shipping, however ????

Is there a way you can remove the entire assembly, repair the leaking part with "hardwire items" and reinstall it ???

We are just looking for the plastic bit that is circled in the picture. That is $79, the whole assembly is $235 plus $100 shipping. I am hoping we can change to brass

I think, if I were going to try to rebuild it, I'd first ASSURE that the entire replacement component assembly is available. If it isn't, I'd proceed very carefully. If you can get a replacement, then it might be worthwhile to try taking it apart, piece by piece until you get to a component that you can obtain that would work as a repair replacement. I would focus on finding something that can be permanently installed, not something that would "clamp together with a piece of hose and two worm clamps. Remember that every time you set up the trailer and tear it down for towing, that you're going to be stressing that part to connect city water, so you'll need a "robust repair" that will stay together for the "long haul"... I've seen brass 1/2" PEX female garden hose repair fittings, but I'm not sure if you could adapt one to your current assembly.

Thank you. The wear and tear on the plastic is the problem so I hope we can replace from the housing out with brass. The weight of the hose all the time on the plastic is taking its toll.

If you don't already have one, get one of these 90 degree adapters. It removes much of the "pulling stress" from the city water fitting and if you put a "cable strain relief" around the hose, you can then support it by attaching the strain cable on the trailer sidewall, pretty much removing all the extra weight from the connection. https://www.amazon.com/Camco-Degree-...976288445&th=1

ADDED: The easiest and cheapest strain relief is two zip ties. Wrap one around the hose in the appropriate location, loop the other through the first, pull the first one tight so it won't slip and then use the second to lift the hose, removing the weight from the city water fitting and the elbow.
