Bathroom vent fan ?

If I'm not in the right sub forum, please move it.
I'd like to upgrade the bathroom fan, move more air. The current one is the standard couple inch fan. Is it recommended to replace the entire unit? Get on the roof, cut out old one, recaulk, etc. Or is a "drop in", where your not replacing the whole thing an option?
Pros and cons?

Thank you.

Hengs makes a "vortex II" kit that will fit a number of vents without having to remove it .

https://www.amazon.com/Hengs-Industr.../dp/B00DPJ3RDA

Or you coiuld remove the entire vent and replace it with either a Fantastic fan or Maxxair fan.

If you do decide to replace the entire vent you DONT CUT the roof membrane, you peel off the dicore to get to the screws. Remove them and then use new Dicor to cover after installation.

It was winter when we upgraded and got the Vortex, not as quiet as Max air or Fantastic, but easy inside install. They move plenty of air.

I also went with the Hengs. Easy replacement, all done from the inside. A little noisy but then you won't forget to turn it off either

Depends on how slow you learn
It took me 48 years to figure it out. I'm pretty slow

I have the Hengs, love it.
Easy install does exactly what I want it to, and way cheaper than the competition.

Heng

Also installed a Heng. Seem quieter than the small factory installed fan.
