Water damage like everyone else

Hi all - I have discovered that my 2015 272BHS has water damage like everyone else’s. I am the original owner. Front cap is delaminating and there is a soft spot maybe 18”x36” in the front drivers side floor. Aside from the soft floor you would not know anything is amiss inside the camper, and cosmetically the delamination looks minor. (Not saying it IS minor of course). The rest of the unit is in great shape.

I don’t want this camper and I don’t want to screw anyone over when I sell it. Any idea what a reasonable asking price is? Would I be better off fixing it out of pocket and then selling it? I’m sure I *could* fix it myself, but I just don’t want to take on that project. I still owe on the loan, but I could pay it off and just take the hit, knowing to never buy keystone again. Obviously I want to lose as little money as possible, but I also just want this thing gone.

We will be buying a motorhine to replace it, but likely private seller, so trade in isn’t likely an option.

Thoughts?

First off sorry your experiencing troubles, but I will say that even buying a motorhome wont guarantee you wont have the same or worse problems. Most motorhomes have a one piece roof and if they aren't maintained just like a rubber roof it can cause much more expensive repairs.

Whats a "fair" price? the only way I can answer that is to say a price that both the seller and buyer are happy. IMO full disclosure would be the best and let the buyer decide.

Totally understand on maintenance - my Bullet was maintained and still had issues. On the motor home we’re either going full fiberglass or Azdel compsites. Either way will reduce or eliminate delamination issues. Water damage is always a possible issue, but the way bullets and other ultralights are built it really exacerbates the problem. This was definitely an eye opening experience and I’ll be much more diligent on researching construction techniques on future rv purchases…
