Faded front cap

2012 325 SRX.....Took out of winter storage today (outside), and noticed that the front cap has drastically faded. Should be a nice deep gray, now is almost white across the entire top 2 feet. Has anyone else experienced this??? If so, has anyone tried buffing it out or possibly a warranty issue.
Thanks in advance

Ther were several threads/posts regarding this issue. You might try a forum search. If memory serves, some of the faded caps were painted under warranty.

My 2012 Cougar 318SAB is currently at the dealer for the same repair - under warranty and a quick approval by Keystone. New decals and all......I thought it would turn into some kind of a hassle - but not a bit!! It takes about 4-5 days which includes drying time and all so I'm anxious to see how good a job they did. I'm even more anxious to see how long it holds out since it was only 15 mos since I first took possession.

Here is what Eric Landis, Keystone District Sales Manager, replied on May 14 when I wrote Keystone and inquired about that problem:

"2. You should not have issue with your front cap if you do your proper suggested maintenance that is illustrated in our owners manual. "

Nu-finish car polish followed by a good coat of 303. Worked great for me.
