Heater sets off smoke detctor, still!

So, probably a dumb question but here goes.

We have a 2018 Springdale SS 2600TB and have used the heater a total of 4 times now. Each time we use it about 3-5 minutes of use the smoke detector goes off. How much longer should it take to clear out what I'm guessing is construction debris from the ductwork?

Before it gets asked, it's not the Co2 monitor going off. It is in a different area then smoke detector.

Thank you!

There are oils used in the shaping of the plenum and it may take a few tries to burn it all off. We open the roof vents, turn the fans on then set the thermostat to 99. Let it run for about 15-20 minutes and you should be done. I wouldn't stay inside during this process.

Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately we are camping and this was happening during our trip. So we just opened Windows and doors while it was running and it finally started to be a normal heater with no more smell and no more smoke. I always leave the bathroom vent opened and a window cracked for fresh air while running the heater so no one gets sick. Thank you again for the reply!
