lci power awning

Hi my lci power awning on a 2016 passport 217exp extends properly but when I retract it goes slow and stops part way in. IfI let it sit a few minutes it will go again but still slow. Bad motor? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like it's overheating. Hsve you touched it to confirm? Is the awning rolling up straight and not causing binding on the sides?

May not be a bad motor. It could be the internal spring has come apart. Even power awnings have torsion springs on the "non motor" end. They are installed so that during motor failure, they can still be retracted!

Thanks the motor definitely felt hot.if i push the arms while retracting they go in. it seems to be going straight. May have to look into the spring.
