If still under warranty, call it in.
RV A/C units can't be recharged like your car your home.
Good luck!

The air conditioner warranty is NOT with the dealership or even with Keystone. Depending on the brand air conditioner installed on your trailer, the air conditioner manufacturer has a listing of "approved warranty repair facilities"...

You do NOT have to use the dealership or even notify them of the warranty request. Simply look at your air conditioner owner's manual, find a "authorized warranty repair facility" and call them. Keep calling businesses from that list until you find one that makes house calls. If there are none near you, then "take a leap" and start calling mobile RV repair companies and ask them if they are an approved warranty center for the brand air conditioner you have.

The listing in the owner's manual for the A/C is not "all inclusive" and likely changes on a daily basis, so it's a starting point for finding a warranty repair service, but it is not the "limiting factor".... Many RV mobile technicians can repair/replace your "in warranty air conditioner" and send the bill to the manufacturer, completely bypassing Keystone and that dealership .....

To add a bit to John's comments;

The warranty is by the manufacturer of the A/C not Keystone. Find out what brand unit you have and start looking around for a mobile tech that works on them and is a certified tech with the manufacturer - make sure he will do warranty work. Prior to contacting the tech make sure you get what they will and won't do from the manufacturer. They may pay for the mobile visit, they may not or they may put a $$ limit on it.

In the last instance I had to do this the mobile tech would do warranty work (didn't like it because of all the hoops) but he made me pay for everything other than labor up front. The warranty repair check came to me vs the tech.

Your situation does sound like a bad unit. Not cooling/running all the time sounds like either the compressor is gone or it's lost the freon. If you turn it off and let it sit for a few hours does it try to cool? Can you hear the compressor kick on/off for a while before it just starts running constantly?

Just to cover the bases, your camper is 36' and you only have the one A/C unit? Could it be working but not dropping the temp down sufficiently to your comfort level? It is supposed to be in the upper 80s today and an A/C can only be expected to drop the temp a finite amount. If you have leaking vents (into the ceiling void) or have not ensured the taping in the inside part to ensure cool air isn't leaking into the return, you may not get all the cooling your unit is capable of and there may be little to no cooling towards the ends of the ducting runs.

You may have already considered these things and if so, just move forward. Lots of folks will buy electronic temp gauges and measure the air coming out of the vent on the unit to determine if it is cooling properly and this may likely be what the A/C tech does initially.

36’ and one A/C is pushing the cooking limits for an A/C.
It’s like expecting to cool three rooms with a window unit in hot summer. RV’s are just not insulated to house standards.
