During towing, the tires on the "sunny side" of the trailer will consistently be hotter than on the "shady side" of the trailer. As the temperature increases, so will the pressure, so you can look for temps on the "east side" in the morning to be hotter with higher pressure and the "west side" to be hotter with higher pressure in the afternoons. I've found a 5-20F temp increase on the "sunny side" and a 5-10 PSI increase on that same side.
So, I look for those two tires to be "close in temp and pressure" and the two "shady side tires" to be close. Expect a marked difference during "day time towing" with less impact if you tow in the evenings/at night.....
And, yes, your indication that something is wrong with a wheel/tire is likely to be a "wonkey reading on one sensor while the others are "fairly close to expectations".
