2019 cougar 369bh. Electric fireplace

Won’t turn on. At all. No lights or anything. The last time we were in camper I turned it on and off to show someone. Tonight was the first cool night and was looking forward to using it. It’s a titan flame. Fireplace breaker is not tripped. Does it have its own fuse maybe? Doesn’t work with remote or unit buttons. I can’t find where it plugs in either may have to take a drawer out.

The fireplace should plug in to an outlet right behind it. If you can get the trim off the screws holding it in are on the sides. I’ve seen them come unplugged. With the trailer plugged into shore power, use a plug checker to test the outlet, if you have power then the fireplace is faulty. They don’t have a built in fuse that I’m aware of.

Can’t see any screws anywhere except for top of slide. Think I need to get two drawers directly above it out. Then I can see back in there. Can’t seem to get a drawer out though

There should be a “ring” that slides down the top and sides. Lift it off and you’ll see two Roberts head screws on each side.

I see one screw up front. I can look back and see the plug removed slightly from the wall. Not sure if is enough to stop working or not. Feel like I should be able to push in those black clips and remove it. But that is tbworking

The little black tabs that stick out of the front of the rail, one goes up the other down and the drawer will slide out.

Bad unit.

Well the unit is bad. I have power to the receptacle verified and it still won’t turn on. Never even got to use it. So I suppose this means a 1.5 hour trip back to the dealer followed by 6 weeks of sitting around till they get to it. Need to look at my warranty and see if they reimburse for mobile techs like forest river does.

Can you deal with the maker of the fireplace instead?

First of all thanks to the folks who helped me get the drawer out! Sourdough, I’m gonna check with the manufacturer when I get home Monday. It’s not critical now. I just wanted it to work. Hopefully they can help out!

My microwave wouldn't work first time out. I called the dealer and asked if I could just bring that in instead of the camper they said OK. Maybe you can do the same thing.

Just an update cause I hate when folks don't finish a story.

Just a pet peeve of mine when folks ask for guidance and then never follow up..I I did as Rambo suggested..

I tried calling the service dept directly 4 times in a span of 2 days and dint get through, finally I called the sales side and they patched me through to a guy who said I can bring it in by itself. He said he would bench test the unit with me there and if it failed, which it will, then he woold walk me straight over to the warranty lady and get a new one ordered. I told him I would see him after Thanksgiving sometime. So That will make the whole experience a little easier !

Just want to update once again

I had a fantastic dealer experience when My Titan Flame fireplace wouldnt work, Didnt even use it once. The delaership ordered a new one for me and I put it in, Verified it worked, Yay was happy. Well now that one doesnt work either. Im somewhat convinced these things are not made to handle bouncing down the road or something. The original one was checked during PDI and once when we got it home to show some friends of ours, after that it quit working. The new one was checked for operation after I reinstalled it and plugged it in. I checked it a few times over the winter while it sat in our driveway.. Now, no go. wont turn on. It has to be something internal on it that is bouncing around and seperating when traveling, I dont know but really not impressed with Titan Flame at the moment! Im thiking at this point Ill need to see if they will replace it with something else or Ill buty something myself I think.
