I use pre-ground coffee. Most mass market coffee is fine with me but that does not include Maxwell House. We usually by the Costco Kirland 100% Columbian. Home and in the camper (when we have electric) it's drip. When dry camping it's perc unless I'm just making for myself then it is either French Press or pour over.

Recently picked up a pound called Waking Dead from a local roaster. Not very strong but smooth as glass.

Get a hand crank coffee grinder from Amazon. Cost around $20.

We use a Baratza Vario, but coffee is also a big deal in our house. I roast my own beans.
There are a few manual grinders out there, like those from Handground, that take up little space, require no electricity, and are most excellent.
But I get it, most people aren't into coffee like we are, so the preground beans or a cheap grinder is fine for them.
Just be aware that the moment a coffee bean is ground, the freshness starts going downhill. Again, many folks probably don't care, and that's ok too.

A picture is worth a thousand words: Very unpretentious, commercial Bunn and Folger's half-caf. As long as we don't have to suffer through flavored coffees or Starbucks we're just fine.

Hand grind only. If I remember correctly the blade ones don't do small enough pieces. I can't drink pre ground coffee. It is like comparing tang to orange juice.

Blade grinders tear the beans into pieces, and unevenly at that.
The extra expense of a burr grinder is worth it to some people.

First off I can't stamp my man card as I like a little cream in my Wal-Mart brand dark Columbian Kuerig made coffee. DW doesn't drink coffee, haven't boondocked in 20 years, don't plan on it the next 20 & my bladder only holds 2 cups in the morning, so the Kuerig works great for me.
No fru-fru flavored coffees & have never spent a dime at Starbucks or any other over priced place for cup of coffee, most likely never will.

I’ll be honest, I like a little cream in my coffee sometimes too. Maybe on my birthday or a holiday...

I use a Hario travel burr grinder and an Aeropress which I have had for years (got them for tent camping years ago). No electricity required! I just accidentally ordered ground Eight O Clock coffee on amazon and can totally tastes the difference. I’ll keep on grinding!

We only use the Hario, have gone through many others including electric ones and always come back to our little Hario. Best there is IMHO.

Must have fresh ground!

Reminds me of time I first met my now son-in-law. We're both coffee addicts and all we had was a good bag of beans and a campfire percolator. We desperately tried grinding with a rudimentary metate and mano. We got a few slivers and drank nearly clear hot water. Made me respect the Anasazi - I don't see how it's possible to manually grind coffee with stones.

Next Christmas the kids gave me an antique wooden manual grinder that I keep with me just in case.

Could you translate that to English? I recognized "whole milk". Thought this thread was about coffee, not sure what any if that is......
