Have two kids also. Got rid of the bunkhouse when they got to the age they didn't want to come anymore. Then they got past that age and to the age they wanted to start coming again so now they were sleeping on the floor or couch. Looked at bunkhouses again but nothing was satisfactory, plus they now had boyfriends/girlfriends that they wanted to bring along. So now I have a BIG "bunkhouse" with two queen beds in the back. It should suffice for awhile.

Yep, I wanted to be able to take my kids without having to tear down the dinette and couch every night and put it back together every morning.

I am almost 53 and the DW is 44. Kids all grown up so we moved up to a 5th wheel with ONE bedroom.

54. Would like to retire now, but will wait till 59 1/2. It bothers me that I may not feel healthy enough to continue rv'ing into my 60's so I love seeing how OLD you guys are.

Both of us are in our early 40's. And I guess I can claim to have my husband's last name for more years now than I had my own that I was born with. Even though we don't have a bunkhouse, the kids have full-size bunk beds and a curtain, but we sure haven't had any complaints other than "when do we get to go camping again?"

(I have to admit though, in a few years when the kiddos are grown up, I have my eye on a Cougar with a cleopatra couch, and no bunks)

Young at Heart

Even though we're pushing 60, we're young at heart, right CrazyCain? ;-)

Will be 63 in September and the DW is 59. Actually enjoyed turning 60, since the County campgrounds and golf courses have significantly reduced senior rates. Then at 62, the NY State senior discounts kicked in at the golf courses. Been retired since 59, and loving it!

58 here. No DW anymore. Retired 5 yrs from previous career now into second career. Maybe one day I'll figure out how to stay retired so I can spend more time in my RV.

Just turned big 50 yesterday, DW is 51. Have a 8 year old & 25 year old at home with 3 granddaughters and a 9 year old Pug. At least the 29 year old is out of the house. Yep! That bunk house comes in handy. Age is just a number, I refuse to grow up.

We have kids older then many of you folks. Neither of us will admit to any age over 39 though, which means those kids of ours - they were all born years before us. And the grandchildren, they are catching up age wise fast with the oldest at 21 a college junior.
