Next weekend we are going to the kids house, Across town on an acre. Not a long journey, but it will be restful.

Finally our first trip in our new 359MBI

Picked up the camper 2.5 weeks ago, planned to make the maiden trip this past weekend but the def system in tv decided to take a crap the prior weekend.

Part finally came in today and tv is ready to be picked up.

Gonna be a short 15 mile trip down the road to the campground, but the wife and I are excited to be able to finally take our new rig out for the weekend. Gonna do absolutely nothing but sit around and drink beer.

My first trip was early this year. Went out the first week of March when the local SP CG opened. Weather was beautiful. Cooked yummy food, did some walking, drank beer, drank more beer, had a campfire and drank some more beer. Seems like beer is a recurring theme in a lot of these posts. We all need to get together and drink some more beer and eat some popcorn.

Wow, that's quite a drive you have coming up! We've never been to Hoffmaster, but have stayed at Wilderness S.P. Enjoy the beauty of Michigan's west coast and the U.P., and have a safe trip!

Yes it will be one of our longer trips. Never been to Michigan or Wisconsin. Highly motivated to escape the heat this summer.
I'm seriously thinking of Glacier NP and maybe, maybe Alaska next year. Maybe.
Solo in the cabover I think.
Plan B is northern New Mexico and Pagosa Springs CO.

You'll like Hoffmaster SP. A typical Michigan SP. electric only. A fairly short walk to the beach. Lots of stuff to do in and around Muskegon.

You should come back in September for the Irish Music Festival.

Lots to do on your trips up the west coast of Michigan also. Not sure what route you plan on taking from Muskegon north. US31 is decent. If you go east a bit to M37, a lot slower drive but a lot more scenic. One of my favorite drive through the lower. Stop in Baldwin at Jones for ice cream.

Michigan has been renovating some of the SP's to have FHU sites. Most are on the east side of the LP. Hoffmaster has electric only sites. Check out he Michigan DNR site and it shows what facilities are available at each SP.

It's been a busy winter, but just under two weeks to go and it will all be worthwhile. First stop, Barber Motorsports Park, a world class road course located in Leeds, AL

How did the trip go??
