Hello from a New Passport owner

My wife and I just purchased a 2014 Passport 199ml. I grew up traveling in a pickup camper with my family, and after marriage, we have had an RV of one type or another for most of our married life (34 yrs).

Our last three trailers were Airstreams. We used the Airstreams extensively, traveling from California coast to coast, as well as to Yellowstone/Jackson three times. We enjoyed the Airstreams but opted for change now that our kids are all out on their own.

We decided to move down in both length and weight, and last week we pulled the trigger on the Passport. We travelled to Ohio to pick it up and camped our way home to Texas.

Looking forward to browsing your forums, gleaning info.
Dave

I'm surprised you switched from an Airstream. I thought those were the Cadillac of trailers. Beautiful hand-crafted homes on wheels.

But there's certainly something to be said for downsizing and simplicity. Your return trip sounds like a fun way to bring home a trailer.

Congrats on your new Passport. I bet more folks move to an Airstream than from one.

Congrats! We looked at the 199ML as well and really liked the layout. Enjoy it!

Last month, we bought a Passport 199ML as well.

And we bought a 2014 Chevy 1500 to pull it. Previously, we had a Keystone Outback 5th wheel trailer for 9 years pulled by a 3/4 ton GMC truck (2004). We wanted to down size both.
