Cool Batteries won't charge

Hi Need help. I have a 2006 keystone Cambridge model 361RLS. The batteries Will not charge when plugged in to shore line,on board generator, or when towing. They will take full charge if I use a regular external charger. i have checked the converter. It puts out 13+VDC using a multimeter. Onboard generator is an onen 5500 what. converter is Intelpower model PD9180 -80 amp- 1300 watt. Automatic transfer switch is a IOTA Industries model ITS-50R. Batteries are 2 6 volt wired in series Napa golf cart batteries less than two years old. I have not checked out the transfer switch. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Several members have had issues with the transfer switch and Keystone has issued a Safety Recall (no.10-153). You can do a forum search by typing in "transfer switch recall" and read up on the posts about this issue.

Your problem may be with that switch. Not sure of the switch number but it might be 10V-594. Check the Safety Recall from Keystone. If you go to their site, the recall information should be posted there.

Progressive Dynamics has an excellent service department and online troubleshooting guides; You can find them online at this weblink:

The PD service department can be reached here:

You have a 2 year warranty from date of purchase, and there is an explanation on how to obtain "out of warranty" service at this link:

Hopefully, it is something simple.

Batteries won't charge.

Thanks for the help. Figured it out. I was checking the output of the converter with the batteries connected. The reading I was getting was from the batteries. With the batteries disconnected the reading was zero. Bad converter
