Screen Room (Add-a-Room) for a fiver??
We have pretty much decided that we will be ordering a Montana High Country 338DB. We purchased an Add-A-Room screen room for our current travel trailer, and love the extra space and the outdoor insect protection. Does anyone know if they make these to fit a fifth wheel? (my search so far has come up empty)
Thanks!

Both Carefree and A&E (Dometic) offer add-on rooms for all RV's with their awning products.

Not sure you can add a screen room onto these new electric awnings. Need to check with the manufacture.

I'm struggling with this also. My Springdale TT has the Dometic 9100 powerd awning and I would like to get a screen room of any kind for it. I'm not having much luck finding one either.

The few that I saw in Florida last February had a support in the front supporting the roller. 1 had a poles with a notch in it another had a adjustable tent pole.I have adjustable aluminum poles attached to the awning that swing out and then tie downs.

Did anybody find anything for this awning? Just spent several nice nights inside to avoid the mosquitos. It sure would be nice to sit outside in a screen room.

Are the add a rooms safe during a storm? They look like a great idea but would not want to loose our awning like we did at Yellowstone last year.

were having our add-a-room installed on our new 2013 266RL as i speak, it came from our 2003 topaz touring edition. We were thinking of buying a new add a room but this one is essentially brand new so it worked out well as both awnings are 18' In regards to add a rooms on the awnings its my opinion that it makes it MUCH stronger as it ties everything together much better. It prevents any flapping/sway. We've had ours in some fairly decent storms at the lake and shes held perfectly strong, having said that our lot is basically in the bush. As for worrying about retracting the awning..... we dont ever. We get to the lake for our annual long trip ( 1 month ) set her up and dont worry about it, it stays out the entire month no matter what the weather throws at it. Been doing this for years and never had an issue.

I think it depends on the storm. i have one on a pop up years ago- It had poles at the outer corners, and I would add rope and stake it down. The sides help stop the lift you get when the wind gets under it. I would also set the roof on an angle so it would not trap water.
