Yuma via Utah freeways

I asked this on another forum and got two answers. I am thinking of driving through Utah from eastern Oregon this year instead of going through Jackpot and down to Yuma. any thoughts pro or con on this route? I am sort of tired of that route through Nv. Am thinking new scenery.

golfpro, Howdy;

Give it a shot, it may be better for you The
Major I-15 rehab project is due to be compleate before
Christmas, the Gov. has even given them an incentive to
be compleate before Thanksgiving. That's the only toe-stub
that I'm aware of. If you want to jump onto US 89, the
best place is at Nephi, go East through Fountian Green and
Moroni to Mount Pleasant, turn right at the light. .
The mileage from I-15 to US 89 then down to I-40 is a mile or
2 different then following I-15 to I-70 then across to US 89.
Just alot more relaxing.
My thoughts and experiences...
