Ceiling fan replacement help

We have a 2016 Avalanche 355RK and I need to replace the 4 blade ceiling fan in the living room. Do I need to replace with a 12 V model or will a regular home fan work? Thanks

First, do you mean a "ceiling fan" (as in a "hang down 4 or 5 blade type") or do you mean the "ceiling fan/roof vent type" that are located throughout the trailer???

As for the "hang down type" there are some trailers with 12 VDC fans and some with 120 VAC fans. It will be much simpler for you to install a replacement that uses the same electric source as what is currently installed. Otherwise, you're going to be "fishing wires through the ceiling" to get a power source for the different type fan....

So, the easiest, quickest and simplest answer is to replace it with the type that's already there....

As for the "roof vent/fans" they are all 12 VDC.

Disconnect your shore power, turn on the fan, if the fan still runs it's 12 volt, if not it's 120 volt & any fan from HD or Lowes should work. Be sure if it hangs down further than the original the blades won't hit anything with the slides in.

This is the only fan shown for that year, and it doesn't say 12 volts, so likely is 120 volts AC. https://www.trekwood.com/products/48...Brushed-Chrome
