2016/2017 Winter camping check up

Just wondering if anyone else have been enjoying some winter camping this season. The DW and i have been going every other weekend to our TT up in East Tawas Mich. We have it "stored" in a park right on Lake Huron. We do have shore power that we use. I use the frunace to up the rig to 68, then we use 2 electric heaters to maintain at around 66 or so. We have a dehumidifier going, a small oscolating fan running and keep our bathroom roof vent on and the vent cracked 1/4". We have almost zero condensation. Most nights have gotten into the low teen's with the occasional single digit. Bottled water, use the microwave , simple meals, and we are all set to go..Oh, porta potty and we do have wifi and cable access...minimal snow fall this year..

Sounds like fun but our TT is all snugged up in storage until we really get some nice weather.

Yes, we've been enjoying some great winter camping. Daytime temps about 70-75, nights in the 50s. Of course we've had a cold week in the last two months we've been here and it got into the 20s at night and upper 30s/low 40s in the day. It's been tough roughing it but we've about become acclimated FL panhandle.

I've been getting the urge to get out camping. It's in the 80s today and supposed to be 70s this weekend. If we didn't have other weekend plans, I would be heading out. I currently have a reservation for the end of the month.

winter camping

We went a few weeks ago to WV with the guys on a trail ride. Arrived with 35 degrees an then every night between 15-20 degrees. We had power and used the furnace to bring temps up inside as well as a a couple ceramic heaters at night and a Big buddy to get instant heat we came inside. No water I brought a 5 gallon jug with a valve inside and put it on the counter at sink. It provide water for washing dishes and hands. Used the Bath house for everything else.
Great time and everyone had a ball, you can have fun in the winter you just need to be prepared.

Soon the weather will turn for us and start getting warmer at night.
