Hello, everyone!

We have been "talking" about getting an RV for a few years, and would eventually like to go full-time. We've decided to take the plunge and have been looking around. At the moment, this 2006 Zeppelin is a strong contender. I saw it this evening and it looks very well cared for.

I would appreciate any tips or gotchas. Things to be wary of.

Thanks in advance!
Phil

Looks like it is in really good shape. Perhaps if you ask some questions in our Travel Trailer section you may get some responses from from some Zeppelin owners. Welcome to the forum, Hank

Welcome to the forum Phil.

We've never owned a Zeppelin, but I can offer these suggestions:

Ask about the age of the tires, or check the tire 'date code'. If they're still the original tires (5 yrs old now),
they'll likely need to be replaced 'soon'. A short discussion on the forum a few days ago, (good info) here:

There was a Dometic refrigerator recall (not specific to Keystone) which included 2004-2007 RV's.

Photos of the repair, here: (thanks Hank)

You can also check the Keystone website for any other 'recalls'.

Water intrusion has the potential to become a costly nightmare

Check for any exterior roof damage, or signs of repair/patches; plus any gaps or obvious signs that caulking or sealant
(around A/C, vents, skylight, etc) needs repair. Check the interior for any bubbles, warps, soft spots or water circles on
the ceiling, walls, floors & around windows... any obvious signs of water leaks or damage.

Info about the Zeppelin is no longer on the manufacture site, but some specs/info here:

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the helpful info, Terri!

Are the roofs a potential trouble spot? I looked at this one, and it seemed to be in great shape.

The roof (& sealant/caulking around vents, etc) "could be" a potential trouble spot IF a trailer hasn't had routine maintenance & care.

Based on the photos - I'll 2nd Hank's comment - "Looks like it is in really good shape."
