Lp gas regulator issue (maybe?)

Hi All, my issue deals with the propane system on our Bullet 251RBS. Bought this new in Feb and all worked fine. But recently I have been having problems with our propane system (2 bottle with a Model 6020 Auto change over regulator). First issue was what I thought to be a trade-in bottle replacement issue. I installed the replacement bottle on the passenger side but could never get gas out of it (factory bottle on drivers side continued providing gas). So believing it was bad I had it replaced. The trailer sets on my drive and points due west (lots of sun and thus lots of heat). Now when I get home and attempt to use the propane system I cant get gas out of either side until the sun goes down and tanks and regulator cool. I suspect it to be a regulator problem or can the heat cause these types of problems? Any help and guidance you all can provide is highly appreciated.

This article, while written by a tech for bbq grilles, explains what you are probably experiencing. http://www.grill-repair.com/blog/200...ne-safety-opd/

I think the remedy, after you reset both tanks, is to keep the tanks cooler while in the direct sunlight. My last TT had a plastic tank cover that covered both tanks and the regulator and piping. I never had a problem.

SteveC7010, I appreciate the reply and guidance. I read the article you provided the link to and it was quite detailed and made a lot of sense to me. Again, thanks for taking the time to respond. Will write again once I finish up troubleshooting.

Replaced the regulator and both hoses from regulator to bottles. No issues after doing so. Cant say it was or wasn't the requlator and/or hoses but did not have time to waste as we were leaving within the week. Long story short all worked great after replacement in 98-102 degree temps in Arkansas.

Ron, thanks for the reply. I can't tell you how many people show up on the forum with problems and then never respond with the results of the recommendations.
