water seeping from floor?

Hey all--The in laws pulled the trailer up last night and I've just joined them an noticed some water pooling on the floor right where it meets the wall. We climbed on the roof to look at the AC for blatant blockages...nothing there. The AC condensation is still dripping off the side down the channel like it should, yet we are still getting some water in a corner of the unit. IT's not flooding in, but over time it is collecting. What gives?

If it hasn't been raining and you are getting water inside your unit, it may be coming from the fridge. The plastic drain tube that comes from the fridge and is routed outside may be cracked, loose or have come off at the back of the fridge.
Over time, these plastic tubes get brittle and crack or may have jiggled loose.

If you lift up the exterior fridge panel and have a peek inside, examine the tube to check its condition and whether or not it is taking the fridge water to the outside rather than inside.

It may be dripping down the wall behind the fridge and running "downhill" to the corner of your camper.

It's the strangest thing...I didn't see any trace of water after I got there for the entire 3 days. I wasn't there when it happened, and my wife swears that it was leaking--I'm beginning to think that there was a spill of some sort that nobody knew of...wifey said it seemed "soapy". I'll keep an eye on it. We have two more trips this summer and if any trace shows up again I'll take it to the dealer first thing.

We had a problem like that. Found a connection came loose on the water heater. Possible a sink trap not fully tight? Would make sense with the soapy water?

My thought is that it was not strange at all. What was happening is a small leak and it took awhile to get to the point were your noticed it. Until you find out where and why that leak happened it will happen again. Each time causing more damage.

why would this happen on the first night but not the subsequent ones? The area of found water was on the opposite side of both the water heater and sink.

I can only guess why but, where it is from. It came from somewhere, leaking window, roof, marker light. Might be entering the wall at some point, flowing inside and leaking out at the floor. Sounds like your ruling out water lines leaking but, think about everything that has water or water flows from/to. Water can travel out of site for a long ways. Water always flows downward. I always look up above where I find water or other higher points than where found.

Well--found the culprit! There was a giant sized bottle of bubbles that the kids put in there during clean up. Yup--fell over. Thankfully there's no leak--but we've got a good bit of bubbles in our camper guts!
