Ugh!!! Found the leak!

The week after we brought our camper home I noticed the rubber around the slide cables was pulling away leaving a large hole that the cable runs thorugh. I asked the dealer to fix it when we had the 2nd A/C installed and they did. But now, just a coupe weeks later I find water on the floor near the kitchen slide. Sure enough, the rubber covering the outside hole has pulled loose again.

Any ideas?

Standard adhesive is not going to work.

On my 342 fuzion I have notice the top ones coming off used silicon but it is not sticking there should be some type of rubber glue like they use on tires just saying , I will look around

Try some weatherstrip adhesive such as 3M brand. Of course you'll want to clean the old adhesive off first.

I put gorilla glue on all of mine to hold them tight. All of mine came loose.

Andrew, did the Gorilla glue hold them, or did they come loose after you used it.

It worked great -- I put it on pretty heavy - held it for a second until it set-- ran around and did the tops and bottoms of the glide -- and then put the glide IN nice and tight to make a firm seals and then left it in all night....the next day i put it out and they held tight --- have run the glides in and out about 20 times since and they still hold on tight with the gorilla glue....

Not I, but my son made a new one out of ¼" teflon and pop riveted it on.

After reading this post, I checked my trailer and noticed that my rubber pads are starting to lift. I was tempted to use screws or pop rivets to anchor the pads, but decided to call Accu-Slide for their advice first. When I asked for technical support, I was provided with another cell number to call. A fellow by the name of Tim answered, I explained the situation and he shared the following: Do not attach with screws to avoid creating a cable wear issue. He cleans the aluminum with 100% naturalized alcohol, lets it dry and then reapplies the rubber pad using super glue sparingly.

I have yet to try it, but I got the sense that Tim had done this often enough to have confidence in it working well.

I ended up using JB weld. It secured two of the pieces just fine. No issues so far. I will be repairing the rest in the next day or two.
