What is that noise???

I went to CW in Syracuse last Friday to pick up a part. As I was walking out of the showroom someone was pulling in with their 5th wheel Montana however the noise was unbelievable. He parked and I asked if he knew about the noise, he said yes and walked me around to the back of the RV. I stood there with my mouth open, they were in Canada and the height of his RV was a little too high. He literally ripped the entire top off his camper. TV, AC etc. it was like opening a can and let it flap in the wind. I felt bad as they were from Illinois and they had to cut their trip short. They were in week 1 of a 5-week trip.

Yikes! I'm always afraid of something like that. We are 13'6'' high.
I can't believe he towed it all the way to Syracuse like that.
I wonder where it happened, exactly?

I am 13’ - 6” ht as well. I check all of my GPS routes using the Rand McNally North American atlas. The atlas shows truck routes as well as roads with low clearance and routes restricted to trucks. If the GPS routes me on a non-truck route, I adjust to stay on truck routes. Of course fuel stations and campgrounds are not in the atlas, so you need to be looking up when you approach these facilities. I also call the campground if I have any question about the road leading into the campground.
