Shrink Wrap for winter
Hello knowledgeable people.
Just got my Bullet Colt TT today I live on the west coast of Canada on Vancouver Island. The banana belt of Canada.
Very little snow but a fair amount of rain. It can get windy but not to often. Doesn't get to cold maybe 0 to -2 F
I was wondering if anybody has had experience with shrink wrapping a travel trailer for the winter ? What are your thoughts ? When I google covering a TT for the winter I get about 50-50 answers. I have searched here as well but nothing on shrink wrapping.

What are you trying to accomplish? If your leaving it unattended for the winter, I would probably take the advice our northern members might give.
Not sure I would do it. Seems expensive when other cheaper methods of storing might work.

It would scare the heck out of me to do a shrink wrap. The unknown scares me. I like proved processes at least a high success rate.
I've sailed around Vancouver Island, looks like a great place to call home.

What about the moisture build up by being sealed would create.

Boats have similar interiors and they shrink-wrap them all the time. Of course they have gotten them down to a science. .... How tight, where to vent and I have even seen where they allow for entry. If the price is right I would prefer over a cloth cover that may chafe and cause damage. It all depends on what you consider cost effective. JM2¢, Hank

That's what I worry about but apparently they do vent them.

Those are my thoughts as well. Especially about chafing.

Bet your local RV dealer doesn't cover his inventory and they sometime sit for years in that same environment.
Personally I wouldn't cover especially shrink wrap as they do with boats. YMMV

I work at a boat dealer and shrink wrap a lot of boats and also have a side business doing mobile shrink wrap. We have wrapped all kinds of stuff that people want to stay dry.
Haven't done a TT, but if I did do one I would only shrink the top down to about the top of the door. I don't believe there would be an issue if your black tanks are emptied and you plan on just leaving it store.
It does start getting fairly expensive, but it works. If done right not a single rain drop will land on your roof until you cut it off.
