310 SRX Awning Clips on Side Garage Door

Just wondering if anyone has an idea what the awning clips on the toy hauler door would go to. Bought the 310SRX used from a dealer who did not provide much info. Have seen the clips on pictures of several other side loaders like the 326srx.

We have a set of curved rods with chair ends on them with flat bars on the end-- do these somehow fit in there?

Just wondering....

Door Detail

The door is on the side on the 310SRX. The awning clips are directly below the rubber bumpers at the top of the door.

They are aluminum just like the clips at the bottom of the awning only they are turned upside down...

Have seen them on several other models and never could quite figure out what they are there to do?

So I have a 15 326srx. If your door is like mine it is a two piece folding ramp. My supports for the fold are different than yours but probably the same concept. They hold the ramp up and also prevent it from folding on itself. Since the door is short it would be a killer angle to get up so they have that added folding door with those supports to make it longer and better angle. I bet that is where they mount to. Mine mounts on the half but still ends up underneath it when deployed.

At the end of this video you can see something that looks like they hook in that area.

Unfortunately he doesn't show how they go on.

Watched the video and see the curved supports under the door. The clips seem very flimsy to put the supports on though--Tried putting them on both ways and would be scared they would break the clip or go though the door if you put any kind of load on them....

Really appreciate the replies on this and it was one of the 'mystery' features we have been discussing.
